Frequently Asked Questions

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$150-$175 per hour depending on the services you choose, however I usually discount most events!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will quickly answer all of your questions and give the best customer service possible to insure that the process is easy and rewarding! I like to give wedding couples the 'Bride's Best Friend' to help organize the details with ease. I send a 'Sample Timeline' to insure clients get everything they wish. A simple invoice, containing the details you desire, will serve as our agreement to avoid all of the mumbo jumbo in other companies contracts. Most importantly, I am easy to contact and quick to respond to your needs! You have enough to worry about, my desire is to bring confidence to the event with over 25 years experience. My reviews are the TOPS ON THUMBTACK. Good luck and have a wonderful event!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of the time. I am listening to 7-10 genre of music weekly to keep up with the latest music trends. Also dancing out at local venues 3-5 times per week to keep up on the 'local dance scene'.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to hear more 'mainstream' music at the dance competitions I was attending. It inspired me to become the DJ of choice for the South Central Region Competitions, as well as the DJ for National Dance Seminars, held around the US.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Wedding receptions, private parties, backyard BBQ's, Corporate events, Partner Dance Competitions as DJ and MC.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently had an event with all ages attending. Everyone had a sense of satisfaction dancing to the music that they loved most! Very satisfying to please multiple generations at the same event!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Same as above question, make sure they hire someone who LOVES what they do. Don't hesitate to ask a lot of questions.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
My ability to adjust to situations as they occur during events. I have found that having several back-up plans (equipment, etc) helps keep things calm and fun!
